You’ve signed up, picked your plan, and started your MoviePass subscription – now it’s time to head to the movies!


New Users: Virtual Card 


With our latest update, new MoviePass users will receive a virtual card. The virtual card activates at sign up, and you can use your virtual card just like any other virtual debit or credit card to purchase tickets online or through your favorite ticketing app or platform. Simply pull up the card details under “My Card” on the MoviePass app and enter the card number at checkout. You can also copy and paste the card number directly from the app for easy buying. 






Anyone who joins after November 2023 will be assigned a virtual card.  If a physical card is desired, simply contact customer service at support@moviepass.com or chat with an agent seven days a week between 11:30am and 11:30pm eastern time. 


Please note that when that card is created, the virtual card that lives in your app will be deactivated. 




Physical Card


If requested, the physical card can be mailed to the address of your choice.   It should arrive in your mailbox in 10-15 days. When it arrives, you must activate your card and you can do so directly in the app. 



*Please Note: If you forget to activate your card, it will auto-activate after 21 days.*



Once you’ve activated the card, you’re ready to check in to a movie and head to the theater. You can swipe the MoviePass card at the kiosk or box office like any other debit/credit card – no PIN required. 


If a theater states that they don't accept MoviePass, don't worry – the MoviePass card is technically a MasterCard and can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted.
