Checking in to a movie on the MoviePass app is easy. Just follow the steps below to unlock your card.  Once that is done, you can purchase your ticket.   

  

Select the movie you'd like to see.

Select the theater where you would like to see the movie.

Select the showtime.

VIRTUAL CARD USERS   

  

Once you have selected a movie, theater, and time, click "Unlock Card to Purchase Ticket".  

You now have two hours to purchase the ticket through the theater website or your favorite ticketing app.   

Go to the ticketing app or theater website of your choice.  Do not try to go to the theater to buy a ticket, as this is often not possible.   

Find the movie and time you selected in the MoviePass app and purchase a ticket using the credit card information that was provided on the virtual card in the MoviePass app.  The credit card information can be easily accessed by clicking on the "Account" icon on the bottom, far right of the app, and then clicking on "My Card".

Once you have purchased a ticket, enjoy the movie!

  

  

PHYSICAL CARD USERS

  

Once you have selected a movie, theater, and time, select whether you'll be buying the ticket "Online" or "At Theater".  

Click “Unlock Your Card” (your reservation will be held and valid for 2 hours).

If you select "At Theater", you must go to the theater to buy your ticket.   

If you select "Online" you must purchase your ticket through the theater's website or through a ticketing app.  

Once you have purchased a ticket, enjoy the movie!
